Blue Smart Card - Business Card Tech Review and How To Use It

welcome back to another review and today.

 I'm going to talk about the blue smart card which is basically a business card replacement. 

What is it it's in here I can take this out and this is what it looks like with cgn approaching and students asking me about business cards and cover letters and resumes and all that stuff is a lot of paperwork involved in printing and all that stuff.

 Which of course you can do as a PDF and bupload to the sides but as you go to CTN no SIGGRAPH or GDC or any type of convention you may or may not want to think.

 About a Blue business card some might think it's outdated something it's not need anymore nowadays with emails you know why would you need a business card.

But in case you do and you want to combine the old world with the new world I saw an advertisement for the blue card. I thought this is interesting I thought I need a business card. but I like tech stuff what can I say and I thought it was an interesting alternative.

How this works is that you go online and you go in blue the social. I will have a link in description and you can go on here it explains everything in terms.

 What it is what the card does how to set it up where you can order it all of that good stuff as you can see it's somewhat thirty five dollar one-time fee it's on a subscription but if you go into the link in description.

I have actually referral link so if you go there it's 15% off and it helps me as well so if you are interested in you want to get it that link description is there for you and it's a bit cheaper. but let me show you how it works so basically this includes an NFC chip so when you take your phone and by the way the reason why I'm not recording this in my review closet over.

 There is because I need my phone usually the phone is on top because it films the desk it's not important but.

 Here's my phone so technically you take your phone take your car and you tap it and you can see the result here you can also tap it from behind as you can see as you tap this on the front or the back it keeps popping up.

 So it's pretty fast even though I have a fairly thick case here it still goes through I tried it without the case and it's just instantaneous and I got a ton of notifications on there basically what happens is that you tap on this and then this shows up you can have custom photos you have a custom text and these are all the links that I decided that.

I want on there so there's more to see so when I click on one of these it goes straight to my profile now if you tap this onto a phone that not yours there's actually a contact option that shows up so you have all those links andeverything. but it also gives you an option to import all that information straight into your contact so.

let's say you are somewhere at a convention and someone has a phone and chances are almost everybody has a phone. but basically take a your car you tap it on the phone and see the notification a tap on it and the person receiving this can then decide.

I'm going to say yes and import your information into my contacts and then you have everything on there that you want to do so it's not just oh it gives me my bank information and all that's up so you decide. What the person will receive so you can change this depending on the convention you can change your folder like I said but let's check out on the side.

 I can show you the details so if I go on there this is what I wanted to show so I have my Instagram Twitter Facebook LinkedIn YouTube PayPal in case someone wants to give you money website and even emails right so pop that up you got my personal email here is my Twitter account sponge Ella that I decided to have on there the LinkedIn my channel.

 I PayPal my website which I definitely need to update going back here so when you go into edit profile so  I can go on here and I can change my profile photo so whatever.

 I can change this and it's Star Wars and I can change it to that if I want there is not really a resizing option so you're gonna have to crop your photo so you have you know the right photo that you want on there obviously your name your email.

whatever text you want and I have emojis on there because I did that on my phone so you can edit this on the desktop or on your phone here I have my affiliate link which again is in the description you can have your address you can have phone numbers custom link.

whatever website you want if you're.SoundCloud Spotify Apple music what's a Pinterest there's all kinds of stuff so you can customize this too.

 I just want to show you this is my name no address just my website my demo reel and maybe direct links to a YouTube clip where you can see my reel and that's  what I like about I like that you can really customize that information and you can change it.

Depending on where you're going with what kind of conference to whatever person you're showing this to it's a one-time fee it's not a subscription that keeps taking money out of your pocket every month it's kind of neat and a novelty I mean for now it depends.

How widespread this will be you can show this tap it on the phone the person gets information they have it on their phone they're not going to lose business card or we know put it somewhere in the trash right away so a lot of options and I think it's gotcha kind of near.

 I saw it online it was an ad and ordered nothing it took a week or two camera i was pretty fast you get you card and then you get this give all the information you had a card in there you got your login that's your temporary password and everything you set things up and then there you go and I got that card and I can tap that on my phone boom boom boom boom four five six seven.

It's actually pretty good I'm really surprised again it works on the front and the back and there you go it's a regular sized business card so it fits in your wallet so I would say if you interested check out the links a description so you can see.
